Steven M. Coppola’s career in the alarm industry began at the age of 13 working part-time at his Dad’s alarm company. After graduating Wagner College in 2000, he began planning for the launch of Statewide Central Station at its Victory Boulevard location.
In 2007, as owner and President of Statewide Central Station, Steven was the recipient of the Security System News “20 Under 40” award, given to the top 20 individuals under age 40, who made significant contributions to the security industry.
Steven is NICET Level II certified, holds multiple alarm licenses, is the “Qualified Agent” for Statewide’s licenses in multiple states, is certified and trained in multiple security platforms, and personally oversees the operation and growth of Statewide Central Station.
Steven prides himself on being personally accessible to Statewide’s dealers, assisting them in providing their clients with solutions to security challenges as they arise. He is happily married and is the proud Dad of three sons and one daughter.
In addition to his ownership of Statewide Central Station, he is a partner of Statewide Fire Corp., owned by Pamela Coppola-Columbia, and enjoys working closely with his sister on their joint ventures.
Pamela Coppola-ColumbiaChief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer and partner in Statewide Central Station since its inception in 2002, Pamela contributes to the day-to-day operation of the firm, tends to all financial aspects of its operation, and is actively involved in training and development of the central station staff.
Pamela is certified as a Central Station Operator Instructor with the Security Industry Association and the Central Station Alarm Association. In 2006, Pamela was named by the New York Daily News as one of the “30 under 30” to make 2007 “The Year of the Money”.
She has been a guest speaker on security and fire safety topics at groups such as World of Women, the SI Girl Scouts, and the American Institute of Architects. She serves as Treasurer for the Staten Island Economic Development Corp, and helped implement a successful mentoring program for young women for the Executive Women’s Council.
In addition to her position with Statewide Central Station, Pamela is Founder and President of Statewide Fire Corp., which provides fire alarm monitoring within the five boroughs of New York City.
Pamela enjoys working with her brother, Steven, and with the staff of Statewide Central Station on a daily basis. As a happily married young woman, she especially enjoys going home at the end of the day to spend time with her husband and their two young children.
Ed KesheckiVice President
After a career with the NYPD, and after owning his own Staten Island alarm company (Gotham Alarm) for 20 years, Ed joined the Statewide family in 2002. He was initially responsible for all of the research and effort into obtaining initial accreditation as a NYC Fire-Approved central station monitoring facility.
Ed assists our alarm dealers with both burg and fire technology issues. Being NICET Fire Alarm Level IV certified, Ed has become somewhat of an authority on all aspects of the fire alarm industry. He provides our alarm dealers with guidance on fire alarm code questions (both NFPA and NYC code), and also represents the firm at many trade shows throughout each year.
Married for 30 years, and the proud father of two daughters, Ed recently became a proud grandfather to a baby girl and enjoys boating and golfing in his spare time
